Stormy

- This was posted on March 19, 2012

The forecasts were predicting bad weather all day. Our morning event was cancelled due to rain even though there wasn’t a drop in sight. With 100% chance of rain, they didn’t take any chances. Later, when I heard the severe storm and tornado warnings, I changed plans and came straight home.

The rain didn’t start until hours later, but finally it showed up with all the drama that one would expect of such a feared storm. The sky turned pale, drained of all color, with a dark blue-gray rim at the horizon all around. The wind had been gusting all day. At that moment it was still. The rain started shortly afterwards; big sidewise slaps of rain beat on the window one at a time until it started pouring. Hours later, it’s still coming down.

Because we knew the rain was coming, we had time to prepare. Flash floods, wind, hail, and tornados are all terrifying products of weather like this. While we can’t stop the rain, we can plan ahead and make decisions that give us the best chances of being safe. Spring Cleaning List

- This was posted on March 15, 2012

Today I spent the morning working on Spring Cleaning. In addition to the usual chores, I added a few new ones for the season. I’ll add a few more tomorrow and the next day and before you know it, I’ll have all my work done. So what are the areas you target as part of a deep cleaning?

1. The land of dust bunnies. Under the sofa is a given, but what about the bottom side of the sofa? Corners behind doors that are usually open are another favorite spot.

2. Dust, part 2. I remember the ceiling fan, but usually forget the blinds. Boy, those are dirty!

3. Beveling. Door fronts, both cabinet and room, need to be dusted and probably wiped down every once in a while. Those beveled fronts hold plenty of dust. Don’t forget the ledge over the door too.

4. Hi, my name is mat. Toss your door mats, bath mat, and room rugs in the wash.

5. Give it up. If you can’t find a place to put something, maybe it’s time to give it away. When you sort your clothes between seasons and put the sweaters away is a great time to go ahead and make a giveaway pile. Making it part of Spring Cleaning means you’ll have a chance to trim your wardrobe every year.

Now that you’ve cleaned the house and sorted out your closet, it’s time to take a look at your finances. Add sell structured settlements to your Spring Cleaning list. Talk to a structured settlement buyer about your options today.

Impractical Lists

- This was posted on March 9, 2012

It’s Friday, so as a reward for making it through the week let’s celebrate by writing impractical lists! These are lists that you’ll never need, but boy aren’t they fun to think about.

1. Read-y? List your top five literary heroes/heroines, your top five favorite books, and the five books you’ve never read but always mean to get around to. You know, the books you drag around with you on vacations that come home without the spine even cracked.

2. Timely. In chronological order, list your top five historical time periods based on when and where you would liked to have lived and likely have experienced history.

3. Personable. Write down the top five people you would most like to have met, historical or fictional. What would you like to do with each? Dinner, cards, wrestling match?

4. Switch-a-roo. If you could change places with someone for a day, who are the top 5 that you would choose if you could walk in someone else’s shoes?

5. Place-able. Let’s step out of the realm of possibility. What are the top five imaginary places you would like to visit? Narnia, Westeros, or Middle Earth?

Writing lists like these can be a great exercise for your imagination. Anything is possible. Back in the real world though, what do you hope for? If more cash on hand right now would make a difference, then you should find out more about how to get cash for structured settlement payments. Talk to a structured settlement buyer today.

The Power of Lists

To make a list is to give name to your intentions. You need to call the doctor, you want to remember to buy that new book, it’s time to do laundry again. Listing can be a very useful exercise even if you don’t get to every item, or even a single item! Here are a few lists to make of your own.

1. The To-Do List—the old standby. This is the daily or weekly list that acts as the glue holding your life together.

2. The Wish List. What do you really want? It may be a Christmas list or a New Year’s Resolution List; this is the place to dream.

3. The Forbidden List. What to never-ever-ever do, at least while anyone is looking. These items are off limits.

4. The Desert Island List. What would you take with you? Top 5 favorite albums or foods? What are the essentials?

5. The Favorites List. Also known as the All-Time-Ultimates-List. What makes the cut? Your favorite car of all time? Your favorite song? Favorite book?

Going through the motions of writing these things down can help you prioritize what’s important to you or a fun way to get to know other people. Making a list can stretch your brain in a new way. It may be that in order to get what you want, you need to find a new temporary source of income. Have you thought about looking into how to sell annuity payments? A structured settlement buyer can help you out. Why not add that to your to-do list?

Wonderful Wednesday

- This was posted on February 29, 2012

So you’ve made it to the middle of the week, congratulations! How do you plan to get over the hump on Wednesday? In many ways, Wednesday isn’t that different from Tuesday. It’s another day in the week to take on the heavy tasks and really get things done. The biggest difference is really perspective.

I am in the process of training for a run next month. I did my long distance training run last weekend and I do other cardio exercises, walking, and jogging through the week, but today I practiced sprinting. For the first few strides I’m concentrating on my form—trying to get used to running. Then, I’m noticing my lungs, my breath, my arms, then back to my stride. Everything is good. Finally, I look up and there ahead of me is my destination closing in on me fast. When I was looking at own body it didn’t seem that I was moving that fast, but as soon as I looked up it was as if the trees and ground ahead were rushing up to meet me. I was flying.

Wednesday is kind of like that. Monday and Tuesday you are trying to call your body into your control; get your balance, hit your stride. Wednesday is the moment that it all clicks and you can see the goal. Maybe it’s the weekend ahead (only two more days!) or maybe it’s the completion of the project. Whatever it is, you’re going to be ready for it.

As you prepare for what’s to come, why not decide it’s time to find out how to get cash for structured settlements. A structured settlement buyer show you the road ahead.

An Extra Spring Day

- This was posted on February 23, 2012

I’ve heard that it will be cooler tomorrow, but today it was 82 degrees so we spent most of it outside. I even have the sunburn to prove it. What would you do with a spring day in the middle of February? Here are some ideas:

1. Picnic on the grass. Find a patch of green, spread out the blanket, and unpack a lunch with a friend.

2. Plan a garden. It might not be time to plant yet, but the warm weather might inspire you to look at plants and dream about your future garden.

3. Exercise outside. Go for a bike ride, a walk, or even a swim without bundling up or waiting until May.

It’s hard to believe we skipped over months of weather to have a fluke spring day – that is without traveling south. If you’re craving a taste of spring and it’s still winter where you are, maybe it’s time for a trip. Short on cash? Your annuity might be the answer. You have access to your money now if you sell annuity payments. Talk to a structured settlement buyer about your options.

Two Steps for Mardi Gras

- This was posted on February 21, 2012

It was 70 degrees out today, this fine February 21. We enjoyed our family time yesterday thanks to President’s Day, so I was up for doing something easy today. I took the baby to the local Arboretum; we rolled around in the grass and soaked in the sunshine under a blue sky. She crawled up and down a hill and practiced what walking would look like.

Later that day, at a friend’s loft for Mardi Gras, the baby put that practice to good use and took her first two independent steps. We don’t do much for Mardi Gras, but the building my friend lives in usually has a big party. We eat too much, listen to loud music, and enjoy watching people be silly.

It was the kind of day that I enjoy the most. I shared special time with baby and friends and marked an important milestone, steps, on her first experience of a new holiday, Mardi Gras. I hope to have many more days like this.

What is your ideal day? How would you spend it and what would it take for you to do it? If you don’t have the resources or your life situation is keeping you from living up to your potential, maybe it’s time to find out more about how to get cash for structured settlement payments. A structured settlement buyer can start the process for you right now.

Sweetness

Happy Valentine’s Day to you. I hope you took a moment today to tell someone close to you how much they mean to you, even if you’re not into the whole chocolates and roses thing. As hokey and corny as Valentine’s Day can become, I do appreciate designating a day to check in with those special people in your life.

Luckily, you don’t have to spend a lot of money since it’s really the thought behind it that counts. I’ve always treasured the handmade card over the store-bought one. A simple paper heart or handwritten poem is special without all of the other trappings.

This is the day to savor the sweetness of love, and if you have them, chocolates and flowers. Listen to love songs, watch romantic comedies, and be okay with acting a little corny.

If it’s cash that is keeping your V-day a little too mellow, you might want to ask how to sell my annuity. A structured settlement buyer can walk you through the process before you can even ask “if you’ll be mine.”

Savoring the Weekend

- This was posted on February 10, 2012

It’s Friday and time to start thinking about the weekend. What do you want to do? Or, what do you have to do? Is your weekend crowded with sports and social obligations? What do you like to do to relax and take a break after the week? Here are some ideas:

1. Work more! No, really. A morning working in a garden can be just the thing to rejuvenate you.

2. Play hard. If you’re not currently playing a sport, why not find an activity you can drop in on, like a pick up game or put something together yourself.

3. Get paid to de-clutter. It’s amazing what people will buy. The weekend is a great time to have a garage sale, which is a great way to motivate yourself to get rid of what you don’t need. Plus, you make money.

4. Lend a hand. You hate the idea of working on your own house and can’t make up your mind about what you want to do, but your friend has their project all prepped and ready to go. If you help them out, they’ll finish the project faster and be ready to pay you back when you finally make that decision. Think of it as labor in the bank.

5. Be a tourist. Check out the sites in your own town. Go to the museum, zoo, symphony; whatever strikes your fancy. It’s the weekend!

What else would you like to do over the weekend? If your plans are a bit more ambitious, perhaps its time to take action to make them happen. A structured settlement buyer can help you get cash for structured settlement payments. That sounds like a plan.

Bringing Baby Home

Filed under: Sell Annuity Payments, Structured Settlement Buyers — Anne @ 10:54 pm

- This was posted on February 7, 2012

My sister brought her baby home from the hospital today. I was able to visit her and the baby twice in the hospital, but I’ve heard from her three times so far today, including one panicked nighttime call. Everything is fine, but it’s hard not to be overly anxious about protecting the new little life that you’ve been given. I remember very clearly how primal that fear was. Everything that happened to her was because of me.

It is a great responsibility with life-altering ramifications. As the baby grows and you become more accustomed to caring for them, you do start to relax. It does seem that having children is like that—great responsibility and heart-wrenching anxiety followed by a kind of mellowness and calmness that only comes with experience.

Are you ready for it? Maybe emotionally and physically you’re set, but are your finances up to the challenge? What would you like to know about how to sell annuity payments? A structured settlement buyer would be happy to talk to you about your future while you plan for the next generation.
