The fire truck crossed in front of us while we were driving home. Once there, as soon as we opened the doors and stepped out, we smelled the foul air. The burning smell stung my nose. We rushed the baby inside to keep her out of it. We debated looking for the fire, but opted to put the baby to bed on time. My husband is out getting ice cream now, but said he might go look for the fire. We can hear the sirens from our house, so we know it’s close.

Fires are fascinating as a spectator sport, but horrifying if too close. I can’t imagine losing everything in a fire, yet it happens all the time. Even with insurance, the loss is devastating. How would you keep going? What would you do to start over?

If you were in need of cash now, what would you do? If you already have an annuity, you can get cash for structured settlement payments. Talk to a buyer of structured settlement payments about your options.

So, it’s starting to get hot. In the last post I listed some ideas for how to stay busy and keep cool over the summer. Here are a few ideas to help keep the heat from getting to you, literally.

1. Keep the car cool. If your car has been out in the sun, you’ll want to open all the doors, or at least one on each side, immediately. Don’t bother with rolling down the windows, just open the doors. Use a reflective window shade for the front windshield and tint the rest of your windows.

2. Cool down with a cooler. One summer when my car air conditioning wasn’t working, I carried around a small personal cooler with ice packs and cold water in it. While driving I sat the ice packs in my lap and sipped the water. It worked so well, I kept carrying the cooler even after the A/C was fixed.

3. Seek the shade. If there is a shady spot in a parking lot, take it no matter how far away it is from the door. If there is a parking garage, that’s even better!

4. Fine tune your frozen air. For my car, I blast the A/C with only the top vents on and the outside air turned off. Figure out what cools down your car fast.

5. Don’t push it. If it feels too hot or you start to feel faint, give it a moment. Maybe you don’t have to go out. Try to plan your outings for the mornings or evenings. Avoid the middle of the day and those temperature spikes.

If you have to be out in the heat, be prepared. Water and ice can make all the difference. If you’re worried about money this summer, seek relief. A buyer of structured settlement annuities can explain all of the details and help you sell annuity payments. Extra cash now will make the summer more bearable for sure!

In case you hadn’t noticed the rising temperatures, summer is coming! What are you going to do this year to keep cool? Here are a few ideas with a summer budget in mind.

1. Backyard water world. Keep cool with just a hose or make it fancy with a slide, water table, or inflatable pool. Add an umbrella or shade or just move around following the shade around the house. It’s amazing what a little water can do.

2. Park it. Parks are free! You can feed ducks, walk, bike, play at playgrounds, and more. Go early in the day, pack cold water and snacks, or wait for cloudy days.

3. Indoor fun. The mall offers more than shopping. Some have indoor play areas and public libraries but all of them offer lots of air conditioning and walking space. You can window shop then stop for a treat at the food court.

4. Libraries. This was my favorite destination as a kid. Libraries offer more than books, though those are great too! You can go to story time, do craft projects, check out videos or audio books for that road trip, join a social group that meets at the library and so much more!

5. Explore. Make it a goal to try to do one new thing a week. It could be trying a new play area, making a new friend, taking a day trip someplace new, or anything else you’ve been meaning to try. It doesn’t have to be expensive, just new. Break out of that summer rut early and the heat won’t seem so bad.

If you’re in need of extra cash for your summer plans, why not find out more about cash for structured settlement payments? Ask yourself if it’s time to “sell my annuity?”

If something happens once or twice, it is treated as a rarity, but when frequency increases, it can become expected. My husband’s job requires quite a bit of overtime, usually. When it happens out of the blue, the extra cash is a nice surprise and a welcome perk after putting up with the long hours and absence from the family. However, since it was happening all the time, we had grown quite comfortable with the extra income to the point that it was no longer considered bonus, but normal.

With recent shifts in his company, there haven’t been many opportunities for overtime. In fact, there have been more than a few lay offs. While that has been scary, we’re pretty sure that his job is secure, but the cut in his overtime hours meant that we felt the pinch. What are you supposed to do when extra cash that should be a bonus becomes a penalty when it is no longer available?

We’re glad that he has a good job and when the work is there, he’ll probably have overtime again. In the meantime, we have to reevaluate our expenses and budgets. If you have a structured settlement, you might want to talk to a structured settlement buyer about your options to sell structured settlements.

It’s Monday again. After a busy weekend with family in town, lots of activity, and a wonderful Mother’s Day, it felt good to get back into the routine of a Monday. We met up with our Monday play group and tried to get back into the rhythm of the week. Here are a few things that Mondays are good for.

1. Planning. At the beginning of the week, I look over the calendar then pick up the phone. What are we going to do this week? Who are we going to see? Where are we going to go?

2. Cleaning. Monday morning vacuuming and sweeping is such a habit, I feel out of sorts if I don’t start the week with a clean floor.

3. Social. Monday play group is a great routine for us. We check in with our little friends, compare notes, and make plans together, even if it’s just agreeing to meet again next Monday.

4. Financial. Checking your bank account and expecting expenses at the beginning of the week will help you feel in charge of your financial life.

5. Physical. Even if it’s just a walk around the block, I like to get moving. It also helps me clear my head and think about what’s coming up for the week.

Once I’ve taken care of the following items above, I’m ready to go! If your financial life needs more attention, maybe you should consider looking into how to sell annuity payments and get cash for structured settlements.

Just like walking a tightrope, staying balanced takes work. You have to keep your eye on the prize at the end, while staying aware of your every move. Trying to balance relationships, family, work, hobbies, health, and interests can take a lot of effort. It’s easy to know when you are out of balance, but hard to head off the problem before it happens. Too many late nights at the office, a sprained ankle, or a cold can sabotage your health, relationships, and commitments.

Just like in real life, your finances can get out of balance. It takes discipline to keep your eyes on the goal. Sometimes, it takes sacrifice too. Things don’t always work out as you planned. In addition, you have to be smart about any windfalls you do have. That extra money that suddenly came your way, what to do with it? If you think a shopping spree is a prudent investment then you may not reap the benefits of the money for the long term.

Have you ever considered thinking about getting cash for structured settlement payments? A buyer of structured settlement payments can tell you more about the process and how to get your like back in balance.

My big project was last weekend. I am finally getting around to pulling together the final tasks to be done. I felt like I spent the rest of the weekend recovering. Here are the different stages experienced after a major event.

1. Adrenaline. If you’ve just counted down the final half hour, broken down, loaded a car, driven, and unloaded, you are probably still so pumped up you don’t even know how tired you are!

2. Exhaustion. Oh wait, there it is. You’re completed wiped out. Drag yourself to bed.

3. Shock. You’re not sure how to react—you’re still processing. You try to replay every detail in your head to figure out was this good or bad, or what did that mean?

4. Relief/Relax. You’re just so glad it’s over and you’ve finally decided there were enough good things that happened to make you happy. You can relax and feel relieved.

5. Low. There is always a kind of natural low that follows the high of an event like this. It’s not necessarily depression, maybe it’s just an extremely mellow state, but it is the bookend to the hype and the adrenaline you felt earlier.

I’m still reflecting and evaluating the outcome of the event that just happened, but having been through this before, I knew what to expect. If you are stressed out about your financial situation, you should talk to a buyer of structured settlement annuities about how to sell structured settlements.

I just finished a large project this last weekend, so it’s time again to reflect on the pros and cons of my involvement with this organization. Here are some clues that it might be time to move on.

1. Time. How much personal time are you investing over the course of the project? Is it every once it a while or daily for weeks?

2. Fulfillment. Does the project align with personal goals? Are you contributing to the greater good for society, adding to her resume, networking, and/or having fun? Does it provide you with a rich social outlet?

3. Positive or Negative. At the end, do you feel uplifted, light and happy or beat down, bitter, and depressed? What is the culture in the organization like? Are they supportive or catty?

4. Appreciated. Do you feel appreciated? If you left, would others notice? Do others respond to your emails and phone calls or do you feel like they are giving you the cold shoulder?

5. Conclusion. Finally, what are you getting out of the relationship? Have you fulfilled your obligation? If so, and you feel like you’ve gotten everything out of it that you had hoped to, then maybe it’s time to move on.

I still haven’t made up my mind, but I think it’s important to be aware and to evaluate how you spend your time. If you’re more worried about money instead of time, maybe you should think about what resources you have right in front of you. Have you talked to a structured settlement buyer about how to get cash for structured settlements?

I was talking to a friend yesterday about the hard choices we have to make to keep things going when times are tough. We both had a hard time last year and a rough spring. How are things going to turn around for us? We’re in similar fields of work, but different situations.

At the end of the talk, we each felt better even though very little had changed. We promised to get together one day this week and talk more. We’ve been meeting for coffee regularly since last year. It gives us an opportunity to compare notes professionally and brainstorm new ideas or connections. Even when I feel the most at a dead end for myself, I always have sparkling new ideas and enthusiasm for her. We both leave re-energized and ready to take it all on again.

We share our pain and our joys, making the burden a little less. If you’re looking for ways to improve your financial situation, you may be interested in finding out more about how to sell structured settlements. You can sell annuity payments and receive cash now.

Today was the big work day for a project I’ve been organizing as a volunteer. As one of the three lead organizers, I’ve put a huge amount of work into this event, as have my peers. So, it was incredibly rewarding today when a volunteer showed up just because.

As she explained when we asked, “People think these events are put together by fairies, but I know it takes real people and it’s a lot of work.” She went on to say how much she appreciates the time and effort we put in and that while she’s not ready to step to a leadership position, she can be the first one to arrive and the last to leave and volunteer when needed. Amen! It was exactly what we needed to hear. We’d already been there several hours with a long day ahead. We were dripping with sweat and gritty from working on a concrete floor with a chalkline.

There is still more to be done tomorrow, the big day, but that little pat of encouragement was just the boost we needed. If, financially speaking, you need a shot in the arm, you ask if it’s time to sell my annuity? You can get cash for structured settlement payments.
