While Nature dons her finest pops of color, we too think about trading in the heavy gray wools and knits of winter for the breezy bright colors of Spring. If you live in a climate with true seasons you may even have to pull your Spring clothes out of storage and pack up those winter coats. It may not be time for sundresses and shorts, but light sweaters and short sleeves are a welcome change. Whether you enjoy pastels or eye-catching primary colors, Spring’s real fashion trademark is color.
Spring also boasts the finest fashion day of the year: Easter Sunday. Growing up, it was the one Sunday of the year that we were guaranteed to have a new dress. As a small child, my grandmother made matching Easter dresses for my older sister and me. In some parts of the country you might even see hats or real Easter bonnets.
If you’re excited about Spring, but dreading the “other” big date in April (tax day), it might be time to evaluate your financial wardrobe. A buyer of structured settlement payments can walk you through the process of how to sell structured settlements.

Spring storms are the most dramatic manifestations of this season’s weather, however, it is the cool spring breeze and warm sun that makes Spring one of the most popular seasons of the year. Spring is a time of growth and renewal. Suddenly, everyone wants to be outside. The parks are bustling, the outdoor cafes are full, and everyone is looking for any excuse to be outdoors. If you feel like you aren’t getting enough of sunshine’s vitamin D and fresh air here are a few suggestions to help you enjoy Spring.
1. Be a sport. Or, just join a local rec team. There are lots of choices: soccer, softball, kickball, ultimate Frisbee and more.
2. Go green, in your garden that is. What could be more spring-like than planting and growing your own garden.
3. Walk it off. Make a commitment to go for a walk two to three times a week or more. You’ll enjoy the exercise, fresh air, and mental break from the daily grind that this kind of ritual provides.
If you need more than a breath of fresh air to rejuvenate your finances, you could look into how to sell annuity payments with a structured settlement buyer. You can receive cash now for an annuity you already have. That will help get you moving!

I promise not to write about storms forever, but I can’t resist relaying my favorite rain story of all. Two of my best friends decided that we should all take a motorcycle class. It was a safety class that would give you a motorcycle license. None of us had motorcycles nor any intention of getting ones and the class wasn’t cheap, but it was something they had wanted to do for years, so one year we did. It was tricky to time the class right since I was teaching out of state, but over Spring Break I drove down and spent two full days in classroom instruction and riding – during a flash flood. The streets in my old neighborhood were flooded and nearly impassable. Luckily, the course in Arlington where we took the class wasn’t flooded, but the rain was unstoppable. The jackets and jeans we wore the first day were so soaked we took turns in the bathroom wringing out our clothes at a Taco Bell during the lunch break. We had never been so wet in our lives. The next day we were smart. Other more experienced riders told us where to get our “Colemans” – rain gear for real riders. In our green or blue oversized rain jackets and pants we managed to stay only slightly drier after a full day out in the rain.
We learned cornering, accelerating, stopping, gears, everything while practically blinded by rain, leaving us in the funny position of feeling completely confident about riding in rain but no experience at all on dry road. Amazingly, we all passed the class’s riding test. We took a photo of us at the coffee shop looking like three drowned rats. We were completely exhausted, wet, and cold, but we’d had an experience we’d never forget and could proudly say that we’d done something most people hadn’t.
If you’re looking for a life full of exciting experiences sometimes you have to embrace the unexpected and the unpredictable. If making your finances more stable is a goal of yours, you might want to find out more about how to sell structured settlements. You can receive cash for structured settlement payments and plan your own dream adventure.

In the last post I recalled a few of my most vivid memories of Spring storms. While storms can be scary, especially when tornados and hail are involved, Spring also brings gentle peaceful rains that shower everything with a cool cleansing wash and breeze. Getting caught in a sudden Spring shower or watching kids splash in puddles are both just part of the season.
On the more extreme side, Spring rains sometimes bring floods. A few years ago I was teaching a class in Denton when a flash flood hit. I made it to campus only to have to wade across it to the classroom. I was soaked to the knee from walking through water and soaked everywhere else from the rain, despite my rain jacket and umbrella. The entire 100-person class sat there with socks and shoes off trying to dry out during the three-hour class. It was my first lecture without shoes on.
Rainstorms remind us that we are not in charge of the weather! You are, however, in charge of your own financials. If you want to know more about how to “sell my annuity” talk to an expert. A buyer of structured settlement annuities can guide you through the process and help you get cash now for the annuity you already have.

Along with the sunny blue skies of Spring come the gray days of rain and spring storms. April showers bring May flowers, right? In this part of the country that also means tornados and hail. I have vivid memories of spending my older sister’s April birthday party in the bathroom with the whole family while waiting out a tornado. One year when a twister hit our tiny town in Oklahoma my mom, sisters, and I had gone down to Houston for Easter leaving our dad to ride out the unexpected storm alone. As kids we were upset to have missed the tornado after having had so many practice drills, though of course our parents were relieved.
Luckily I’ve avoided direct contact with tornados, but I haven’t been able to escape the damage inflicted by hail. One year in Fort Worth, while out with a boyfriend we were caught in a hail storm. We pulled over by an old theatre just as the hail completely cracked the front windshield. As we raced from the car to the entrance we saw tiles coming off the building. Once inside we wandered about with the other dazed people, some with injuries from the hail. In the middle of the lobby a bucket caught a drip from a leak in the ceiling 20 feet above. It was not the date night we had planned. After the storm, driving home slowly with a shattered windshield was a fitting end to our harrowing night.
Nature can produce many splendid things and it can also destroy it all. If you’re looking for a way to start over after your own storms you may be interested in cash for structured settlements. A structured settlement buyer can help you through the process and to see the light at the end of the storm.

This last week we marked the official beginning of Spring. If winter hasn’t broken where you live, you can still look forward to Spring’s warmer temperatures. Where I live, we’ve already had days in the high 80s and can feel the heat of summer coming sooner than we think. Traditionally, spring is a time of renewal: trees regain their leaves, unexpected blooms pop up, and the dry dead grass of winter turns into a field of wildflowers.
While nature puts on her finest show of tender greens, people tend to have their own routines for Spring. If you haven’t already done your spring cleaning you may feel the urge to toss out the old and prepare for the new. Cleaning and organizing your space is a great way to purge away the winter blahs and make room for new experiences and expectations.
If getting your house in order includes your finances, you might want to take a new look at how to sell structured settlements. A buyer of structured settlement payments could advise you on how the annuity you already have could be cash on hand right now.

The week is drawing to an end, but you still have the weekend before the kids go back to school. What’s left to keep them occupied?
1. A World Champion Tournament! Or, at least a household-wide title. Set up a competition whether indoor with board games or outdoors with balls and bikes. Relay races and skill challenges can be set up either indoor or outdoor.
2. Explore a local nature trail. See who can find the most animals on the trail. Scout for footprints. Identify trees, flowers, and birds.
3. Learn something new. Take advantage of the time over the week and help your kids learn a new skill, whether mastering the bike without training wheels, learning origami, knitting, or perfecting the in between the legs basketball dribble your kids will go back to school with a new trick under their belt.
Spring break may be over, but the memories will last. While you may be relieved that the kids are going back to class, your own duties and responsibilities haven’t slowed down at all. If financial pressures are taking the fun out of everything you might want to find out more from a buyer of structured settlement annuities about how to sell annuity payments.

Even though it’s a week past the actual day, here are some thoughts on how to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. While you could go to your local pub and order a green beer, here are a few other suggestions.
1. Try Irish grub. Bangers and mash, Guinness stew, Porter’s lunch, corned beef. Need I say more? If you haven’t tried it, you don’t know what you’re missing!
2. Watch an Irish flick. My new favorite is “The Secret of Kells” an animated adventure about the making of the Book of Kells, once considered the chief relic of the Western World. This movie is enchanting for both adults and kids.
3. Listen to some Irish tunes. Whether traditional Irish ballads or pop songs, there is plenty to choose from when looking for music from the Emerald Isle. Whether moody and haunting or jaunty and raucous, Irish music is as unique as the place itself.
If you’ve always dreamed of celebrating St. Patrick’s Day by going there yourself maybe you need to find out more about how to sell structured settlements. Talk to a structured settlement buyer to find out more.

If you have time, here are a few more involved projects to keep the kids occupied during Spring Break.
1. Create a scavenger hunt. On a rainy day, you can design a scavenger hunt inside the house or you can create one for the neighborhood or playground. Pair kids up and give them good instructions about what they are looking for. A cell phone camera can capture their proof.
2. Make a family tree. Using your best crafting and scrapbooking skills help your kids make a family tree while telling them about the people behind the funny names. It could be a single piece that you frame and put on the wall or a little booklet complete with pictures.
3. Be a star! It’s easy to make a quick photo booth with cardboard and a sheet. You can decorate the backdrop and find or make fun props like hats, fake mustaches, picture frames, and costumes. Take lots of goofy pictures and encourage the kids to really ham it up. Silliness will be captured forever.
Being creative within your means can help you stretch any budget into a fun time. If you’re still concerned about how to improve your financial situation, you might want to talk to a buyer of structured settlement payments about how to receive cash for structured settlement payments. Maybe you can imagine your dreams coming true too.

While the last post focused on travel, even if not very far, in this post I’d like to explore another kind of adventure. Here are a few more ideas for kids on spring break.
1. Escape with a book. As the bookworm kid that I was, I loved having a free day to read. Take your kids to the library and encourage them to find a book on something that interests them. A good book can take you to exciting places.
2. Craft away. Pull out the glue gun and glitter and plan a fun project. Invite friends over and have a craft play date! Don’t worry about making a mess. There will be plenty of time to clean it up later. You can even make a scrapbook about your Spring Break adventures.
3. Discover nature in your back yard. Involve your kids in the yard work—not mowing the grass, but the fun stuff. Build and install a birdhouse. Plant new flowers. Pull out the binoculars and discover what birds are lurking about. Put the tent up and spend the night in the yard listening to the frogs and crickets.
While this may be the year to stay home, perhaps next year you’ll have bigger plans. If you are in need of cash, you should look into how to sell structured settlements. You can sell annuity payments and receive cash now, instead of waiting for payments over time.
