How to Throw a Party

What with summer holidays, birthdays, and going away parties it has been a busy party season. Here are a few tips to throw a successful shindig.

1. Keep your guest list manageable. Don’t expect one event to be all things. Try to make sure each guest knows at least one other person invited.

2. Have a variety of food and drink available. Think sweet and salty, caffeine and non-caffeinated, alcohol and non-alcoholic.

3. Add music. Pay attention to the total environment: lights, music, and visuals both inside and outside.

4. Plan spontaneous activities. The video game is cued up just in case everyone wants to try that goofy new Japanese game and a stack of hula hoops waits in the corner!

5. Relax and have a good time. Being a good host means being part of the party! Enjoying yourself while looking after everyone else is an impressive party trick.

It might be that taking care of yourself means looking for cash for structured settlement payments. Making the choice to sell annuity payments could set you on the right track, which deserves a party!

Putting My Money to Work for Me

There are times when money is meant to be saved - the accumulation of which always made me happy. I loved to look at my savings account and know that the money that I worked so hard for was there if I needed it. I guess what I didn’t realize was how quickly I could need it and how fast it could be depleted. I had counted on my savings as a safety net but in reality it was always a growing and changing thing - not constant; something that could be gone in moments which is essentially what happened. I lost my job, as many people did, in the economy-related layoffs and without a steady income, I quickly plowed through my savings. I did anything and everything to find a job and even worked part time and temporary jobs when I could find them simply to keep as much of my savings intact as I could. Eventually, however, it was pretty much gone and I was still collecting unemployment. A lifestyle change was in order.

For one, I made some changes in terms of my living arrangements - finding a cheaper apartment and even moving in with a roommate who could share some of the expenses. I also changed the way I spent money; everything became a necessity-only. However, I still had expenses and without savings to count on while I found another job, I was afraid for my future. Luckily I was able to sell some annuity payments to a buyer of structured settlement annuity and put my own money to work for me.

The money that was in the structured settlement was mine - awarded to me in a personal injury case. But it came to me in payments - which had been really helpful, especially lately. By selling future payments, however, I could get a lump sum of money to pay off my debt and really reduce my overhead while I looked for a new job.

Top Five Things to Enjoy About Summer While It’s Still Here

Filed under: Buyer of Structured Settlement Annuity, Sell Structured Settlements — Sell Structured Settlements Expert @ 5:43 am

Despite the heat there are many things still to enjoy about the last days of summer. Here’s a quick list to help see you through the dog days.

1. Extra daylight; days stretch on forever when the sun is still out, productivity is up!

2. Casual clothes; relax, no one expects you to dress up when it’s 104 degrees outside. Slouch off while you can.

3. Snow cones and ice cream; these cold treats never taste better than in the sweltering summer.

4. Swimming pools and vacations; these summer staples are great when you can get them, but they aren’t a guarantee. Enjoy them if you can!

5. Air conditioning; temperatures inside large buildings can rival winter outdoors. Malls, museums, and office buildings are positively refrigerated, offering relief from the heat and hint of the season to come.

If ruminating on the current summer season has you thinking about how to sell structured settlements, you may want to look for a company to buy structured settlement annuities. Exchanging payments received over time for a lump sum of cash might be what you need to get through the season.

Bicycle Crush

Filed under: Cash for Structured Settlement, Sell Structured Settlements — Sell Structured Settlements Expert @ 5:42 am

I love bicycles. I love the way they look and how they make you feel. I love coasting down hills and peddling by houses. I love losing track of time. As a preteen and teenager I would rode my bike at twilight as far as I could possibly go and then raced the sun to make it back before dark. I cut through trees and crossed streets that bordered my neighborhood venturing far into unknown areas memorizing the streets as I went so I could find my way back.

As a kid, I was pretty clumsy and wrecked fairly often usually face first. In fourth grade I had my worst wreck. While trying to keep up with my Dad and Uncle’s ten-speeds going up a hill I completely wiped out, leaving me with a bloody face and broken teeth. My teeth have been an issue ever since; a permanent reminder of a hill unconquered. You would think that as an adult I would have learned my lesson, but no! My worst accident was, again, a bike wreck. I had been riding road bikes for about six months, but this bike was only a few weeks old. I broke it in properly with a spectacular wreck that I could only piece together by the placement of my wounds—where I lost skin. Luckily my helmet did its job. I had the bruise on my neck from the chinstrap and the dent in the helmet to prove it. Because of my concussion, I don’t remember the accident at all.

And yet, despite the disfiguring and horrifying accidents, I still love my bicycle. I love the freedom it embodies and the feeling of flying. I’m actually a very cautious rider, believe it or not!

If you have a passion for something it is worth pursuing. If you’re curious about cash for structured settlements, you should take the time to find out more. You can sell structured settlements for a lump sum of cash in exchange for payments received over time.

Where Did the Summer Go?

Every year we eagerly anticipate/dread summer. Even though we tire quickly of the heat, there is something exciting about the summer season. It’s like one big vacation opportunity, even if there is very little vacation involved. Break out the summer shorts and sunscreen and go outside! Until, that is, summer really hits and it’s just too hot. Now we wait for evening or peek out early in the morning when it’s still in the 80s.

Every year when the Back-to-School sales start I have to ask, “Where did the summer go?” Maybe this goes back to being a kid in school dreading the end of summer—the end of the seamless lazy days, a return to the rigor and structure of school. All the days blurred together without markers. Those eternal days that stretched out forever now seem to have sped by!

Remember to enjoy it while you can. Actually, as much as I anxiously anticipated Fall, I really liked school and it meant my birthday was coming soon! If you’re in a situation where you would like to sell structured settlements this year, why wait any longer? Time keeps marching on and you can receive cash for structured settlements now.

Home Sweet Hollywood

Since April the neighborhood that I live in has been the location of four major television show shoots. If you count the surrounding areas, the number goes up! Currently a show is filming on my street two blocks down, where they shot back in the Spring. In May another show set up a location only a block away in a different direction. We watched the resulting episode with eagle eyes and found our house, if only for a moment of screen time. That show set up again another block over, for a total of two blocks away.

The intrusion in the neighborhood is immediately evident. Streets are blocked. Police direct traffic. Trucks, lights, and tents pop up in unexpected places. Swarms of people are busy doing things, though we can’t tell exactly what. When it happened the first time, we were so curious we trolled around the neighborhood on foot with the dog peeking at whatever we could see, until we found a bored driver who answered all our nosey questions. At that point it was for a pilot.

Both of the shows that shoot around here have been picked up, so I expect the film crews to become a recurring phenomenon that we’ll notice less and less, unless they are blocking the street! Recent economic incentives from the city and state seem to be driving the film boom, meaning that the difficult state of the economy is actually pushing Hollywood into the neighborhood.

If even Hollywood is feeling the pinch, you may be wondering about what you can do to take control of your personal finances. You might want to look into receiving cash for structured settlement payments. Having the option to sell annuity payments could help take the immediate pressure off by giving you a lump sum of cash in exchange for payments received over time.

Solving Cash Flow by Sale of Annuity Payments, Part II

Filed under: Buyer of Structured Settlement Annuity — Sell Structured Settlements Editor @ 1:44 pm

- This was posted on August 27, 2010

In the last post we talked about the reality that many people have found themselves in at the present time - they feel stuck, oppressed by the economic conditions that seem like they are not going anywhere anytime soon. Many have not just cut back on what they are spending in terms of disposable income, they are struggling to pay their bills and their mortgages; they are heading for financial and personal disaster and they are desperate for a solution. One very real solution for a great many people is to sell annuity payments for cash; something that is done with a buyer of structured settlement annuity.

Like we said previously, a structured settlement is put in place as an alternative to giving the entirety of a settlement to a claimant who has been awarded money in a personal injury case. The cash stays in the annuity and is sent to the recipient in the form of scheduled payments. What many don’t realize, however, is that those payments - present and future - belong to the recipient at all times. They have the right to accept them, yes. But they also have the right to sell them.

To sell annuity payments means to work with a buyer of structured settlement annuity. The number of payments that the seller would like to part with is determined - largely based on how many payments they need to sell to garner the amount of money that they need. The seller then essentially makes a trade with the buyer - the cash value of those future payments given to them today in exchange for the right to receive those payments when they come due. It’s as simple as that.

Through the sale of structured settlements, many people have been able to solve their cash flow issues and even save their homes; making it a safe and viable alternative for financial strategy in a tough economy.

Personal Finances

Filed under: Cash for Structured Settlement, Sell Structured Settlements — Sell Structured Settlements Expert @ 7:04 am

If you’ve been following the business and financial news lately, you might be more than a little depressed. Many of us have been dealing with the effects of the recession since before the official beginning of the Great Recession. People have had to make real lifestyle changes, difficult decisions, and preparations to hunker down for the long haul.

Like the economists are saying, I personally don’t see the end in sight, but I do see a reason to be optimistic. Over the last year, we’ve made significant changes and adjustments to the New Normal. We’ve learned to live with different expectations. We’ve been happily surprised when things go well and tried not to take it too hard when things don’t. We were frugal to begin with, but now we’re even more creative and open to possibilities that I never would have dreamed.

The political is personal. I read the news, but my own headlines tell a different story. For me, I’m encouraged that things might be looking up. These small signs and modest gains add up, increasing our security, stabilizing our future. Ultimately, we’re responsible for taking control of our lives and our wallets.

If you’re in a position to sell structured settlements, you could receive a lump sum of cash that could help you through the current crisis. It might be Plan B, but receiving cash for structured settlements could be just what you need to do.

We may currently be in the worst heat of the summer, but a quick countdown of our favorite things about Fall can help cure those summer blues.

1. Crisp windy days; blue skies setting off brightly colored autumn leaves, a cool breeze and fresh scent in the air. Perfect for long walks at the lake.

2. Layers of clothes; pulling out favorite sweaters and jeans, trading in the flip-flops for trusty worn boots.

3. Return of the routine; school is back in session, things are less random, more normal and predictable. There will be football and a new Harry Potter movie.

4. Pending holidays; Fall has built in drama with escalating holidays culminating in December. Holiday spirit permeates the season.

5. Summer is over! It was great, but August here is brutal and each year it has to end. C’mon Fall!

If your planning for Fall includes a review of your finances, you may want to look into cash for structured settlement payments. Starting a new season with a fresh outlook on your financial situation could be right for you if you sell annuity payments.

Silver and Gold: New Friends and Old

Filed under: Buyer of Structured Settlement Annuity, Sell Structured Settlements — Sell Structured Settlements Expert @ 4:18 am

- This was posted on August 25, 2010

As you get older it seems to be harder to make new friends. There are old friends and work friends, but making genuinely new-new friends is a real challenge; one that certainly is worth the trouble. Obstacles that keep us from finding new members for the friendship club include a reticence to open up about ourselves (a kind of faux shyness) and a lack of time to really get to know someone new.

Back in high school and college we had hours to lounge around and fight back the boredom of being young. Hanging out was considered a legitimate activity. Sharing classes, interests, and mutual friends helped forge bonds that have lasted through the years. Making friends at work, even as jobs have changed, seemed natural as well. Again, we all felt like we were going through something together; our mutual passion for our field and unified dislike of the new secretary solidified friendships.

Making new friends outside of school and work is a little trickier, but finding a common area of interest in a good place to start. My “new” friend and I were lumped together for committee work with an organization where we both volunteer. Surviving the project was the first test of our relationship. The subsequent emails and phone calls after the project was done was a good sign. The lunches and field trips after that solidified things. New friends add new perspectives, variety, and much needed support.

While it can be daunting to strike up new relationships, it is worth the time and effort. If you are looking for someone to buy structured settlement annuities, you want to take the time to find the right company to take care of you. In this difficult economy, it might make sense to sell structured settlements for a lump cash payment.
